my dad has an 1880 silver dollar minted in New Orleans. Was wondering the value and if there is anyone interested in buying it or the best place to go to sell if he decides to do that? thanks for your help.

Depending upon the condition of the coin, if it is in MINT condition or used, the value can range from $13 to $100 if it is a GEM UNCIRCULATED coin.
You can check on eBay for coins like yours but bear in mind that the condition is the key to value. If it is used, expect about $13 for it.
