Question
I have German Marks from 1923 and 1922.  I don't know anything about them or what they are.  Some printed values on the notes are 50000. and 1000.  I also have a certificate in German dated 1923 that says 8%.  It looks like a stock certificate.  I can copy and send to you if you like.  Any information will help. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Dale, Collector value of a note depends on date, series letter or signature and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
This was a period of high inflation in Germany.
A uniface German 50,000 Mark note dated Aug.9, 1923 may be worth about $5 with heavy wear to around $10 with moderate wear to maybe $20 with no wear (uncirculated).
A green Sept.15, 1922 1000 Mark note may be worth about $1 with heavy wear to around $3 with moderate wear to maybe $5 with no wear (uncirculated).
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
Sorry, I don't have any other info on the loan or stock certificate.
