Question
I HAVE A 1953 FIVE DOLLAR BILL, SILVER CERTIFICATE WITH A BLUE STAR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF BOTH SERIAL NUMBERS. I KNOW WHAT THE GREEN STARS ON THE RIGHT ARE, ETC. I BOUGHT THIS BACK IN PROBABLY 1982 FOR 6.50... WHAT DO YOU THINK IT IS WORTH ,,, THANK YOU VERY MUCH , HARRY NORRIS

Answer
Hi Harry, Collector value of a note depends on date, series letter or signature and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
This 'star note' may be worth about $100+ depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might take it by a local coin shop for a first hand opinion: http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/coin_dealers .
