QUESTION: the coin is copper not tarnished

Answer
My suggestion is to send the coin to Numismatic Guarantee Corporation and have it certified.

Does it weigh 5 grams?  Nickels are actually 75% copper and 25% nickel.  The only exception is during 1942-45 when silver was used.
