QUESTION: Is it:

1. Used plastic or glass as medium
2. put it in a dark, cool, and dry place such as a safe or vaults, or closets.

2. Where do I get an excellent glass or plastic as a medium?

Answer
Don't worry about glass, it is too expensive and not really needed unless you have something worth thousands of dollars. The plastic mediums I had given you links to in a previous answer.

The inert plastic cases for coins, bills and comic books are available on-line.
For coins, you can find cases of various sizes at:
http://www.whitmanbooks.com/default.aspx?SubCatOID=10&page=80
There are also other sites for these that you can find by doing a Google search for "Inert plastic holders"

For paper money: All kinds of sleeves and albums are available at

For comic books: A variety of mylar (archival polyester) sleeves can be viewed at http://www.nextag.com/comic-book-mylar/shop-html

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
