Question
I have a silver Christian IX 1897 silver 2 Krone, a 1930 Christian X silver 2 Krone and a 1927 5 ore.  I am wondering at the worth of these coins.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Ellie, Collector value of a coin depends on denomination (face value), date, mint mark (if any), number minted and condition of a coin, including amount of wear, any dents, scratches or cleaning as well as collector demand for it.
1897 2 Krone, 151,000 minted, .3858 of an ounce of silver, collector value may be worth about $20 with heavy wear to around $150 with moderate wear to maybe $225 with light wear.
1930 2 Krone, 302,640 minted for king's 60th birthday, .3858 of an ounce of silver, $8, $9, $12 in conditions listed above.
1927 5 ore, bronze, 7.1 million minted, .10, .25, $3.50 with HCN below center hole or $1, $8, $90 with an N below hole.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
