Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Older Bills

Question

Bills
Hi, I hope you can help me. I worked as a banker as a few years and would always pick up old coins for my dad as he is an avid collector. I would also come across odd bills but my dad was never interested in keeping them so I usually just held onto them myself. One day 2 $20 bills came in and after putting them through the ringer to make sure they were real I decided to purchase them just in case they had any value. My questions are: Are they worth anything over face value? If so, would it be better for me to hang onto them, or sell them now? The first is a "7" series from 1928. It seems to be in very good condition, as though a kid stole it out of his parents collection to buy something. It has a little pencil mark on the front that could be erased, but I wasn't sure if this is ok to do. The second is a "C" series from 1934. It has a couple of creases in it, and some pen on the back. Otherwise in good shape. I will try to attach a picture. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Answer
Hi Taryn,
Although they are different, not being mint condition, makes the uncollectable to most collectors.  You may find someone to pay $25 per note, but from myexperience, collectors usually will pay more for a choice note.

Personally, I would spend them.
