Question
I have a Elizabeth II coin with the imprint DG REG FD 1989 on it and TWO PENCE with a number 2 on the back. Is this worth anything? Thanks

Answer
Hi Sabra, it is worth about .05 to .25 (U.S.) depending on amount of wear and collector demand. There were 359.2 million of these bronze 2 pence coins featuring Queen Elizabeth II (1952-) and the Welsh plumes minted that year. The abbreviated Latin legend stands for 'By the Grace of God, Ruler, Defender of the Faith'.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
