Question
Hi Brad.
I have just bought a Swiss 10 franc gold coin 1911 in EF condition.I bid on this coin going off my old year 2000 KM catalogue of gold coins.
What is my coin worth now? I paid approx £130 Sterling for it.Its a nice uncirculated coin.
I would be obliged for any info you could provide.
Regards
Craig

Answer
Hi Craig, There were 100,000 of these Swiss 10 Francs coins minted that year in Bern (B). It contains .0933 of an ounce of gold.
It lists at $325 in EF in the 2010 Standard Catalog of World Coins (try a library). Gold prices in that catalog were based on the price of gold being about $900 an ounce.
Current gold and silver values: http://www.kitco.com/market/ .
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
