Question
I found a german 5 deutche mark gold colored coin marked 1955.
An embossed right facing bust and "ludwig wiliielmmarkgraf von baden 1655-1707" on one side and an embossed left facing eagle with "bundesrepublik deutchland 1955 on the outer ring, "deutchemark" on the second ring and "5" under the eagle.
Is this worth anything?
I am having trouble finding any info on it.

Answer
This is a 5 Mark commemorative for the 300th anniv. of the birth of Ludwig Von Baden.  There were many unauthorized restrikes made. The color is probably oxidation a sthe coin should be silver.  Do not clean it, leave it as it is.  Cleaning will ruin it.
Depending upon condition, it can be worth up to $500.
