Coin and Paper Money Collecting/selling wheat pennies

Question
can you tell me where I can sell my collection of wheat pennies. Approx 30,000 coins, 1909 -... many in excellent condition

Answer
Hello Mark,

You may only realize about 3 cents each for the pre-1958 cents.
And no single dealer may want that many coins. But I am happy to try to help you.

A post 1940 issue date coin can retail to collectors from .10 to .15 cents in circulated grades. But a dealer will pay less. Virtually all circulated cents made after 1945 will sell for 3 cents each in bulk.

Do not try to clean the coins in any way. Learning to estimate the grade of the coins and noting any cleaning or mishandling is the key to finding the value.

If you want some local dealers write me back and give me the nearest large Cities, zip codes I will refer you to an expert in your area.
Remember to make the question as private.

Thank You and Good Luck
