Question
I recently aquired a 1934 series C twenty dollar bank stamped L from the federal reserve  bank of San Franscio Cal.  Has a Green stamp and the number 12 on the front has the number 451 on the back to the right of the white house in small print.  Is defenitaly circulated but not in bad condition.  Only paid face value so I'm not out anything but I do have some rare coins and though adding this bill to my collection might pay off.  Is it worth anything more than the twenty I paid?

Answer
Tammy, yes I believe that the 1934 paper money does have some collector value, with condition being very important.  Go to www.ebay.com and do a search for 1934 $20 and lots of examples will come up and you can see if you can match your series with what is being offered, and compare condition by the pictures and see what prices are being asked and offered (remember if there is a starting price with no bids that means only that the seller is asking that price not that anyone is willing to pay it), Jim
