Question
I have a 1944 dime  on the front it says liberty and in god we trust a face like a gorgyle with wings on its ears , on the back it has e. pluribus unom . can you tell me what its worth?

Answer

Winged_ Liberety_Head
Hello Tagontrail,

The Winged Liberty Head dime (Mercury head); these were produced in large quantities most years. For these 1916 to 1945 dimes locate the mint mark. If it has one, it will be on the reverse, near the bottom left of the fasces, and right of the "E" in the word ONE.

1944 dimes having complete rims should sell retail for $1 TO $2 dollars as a minimum price for the silver in the coin. Most dimes in only lightly Circulated grades sell for a few dollars each.

Feel free to let me know when you have any questions.

Thank You and Good Luck
