Question

coin
I have a silver coin that on the front has the wording"Finest purity honest weight tri-state refining .999 fine silver one troy once." on the back an eagle with im guessing an olive branch and the liberty bell to its left and the wording "1776-1976 0999 fine silver one troy ounce god bless america" any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Answer
Mandie,

You have a privately minted silver round -- used only for the trading in silver.  This is technically not a coin, which is why you cannot find any info about it.

It's value is based only on the ounce of silver it contains -- currently about $13.00

I hope this helps,

Dan

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
