Question
I bought these from a broker in the 1990's: They are uncirculated silver dollars sealed in plastic:  I paid the price shown.  Can you tell me today's price?  and how do I go about selling?
1921 MS65  $115
1888 MS65    250
1904-0 MS65  235
1881   MS65 100
1884   MS65   300

Answer
Esta,

Current dealer greysheet prices for properly graded coins are :

1921 MS65 $130
1888 MS65 $172
1904-0 MS65 $161
1881 MS65 $715 (verify if yours is the much more common "S" mintmark)
1884 MS65 $280

You say they are sealed in plastic.  Does this mean they are in certified holders?  If so, and if they are certified by PCGS or NGC, then the above prices should be close to what you can get.  If however, they are not certified, or are certified by some other company, then the above prices will probably not happen -- more like half or less.

Let me know about the encapsulation, and check that 1881 for an "S" mintmark -- which has a listed price of $125

I hope this helps,

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
