Question
1955 half dollar that has raised marks protruding from the  lip. The card it is in has writing on it calling it a bugs bunny have you heard of this coin?

Answer
Hello Erika,

This is a die variety that is fairly common.
The obverse die was deformed and the resulting depression produced this variety.

It is well documented and does not make the coin any more valuable in circulated grades. So do not think it is an expensive coin.

In Un-circulated grades as high as MS63 only $1 to $3 dollars but in Mint State grade-65 and higher grades at least $20 more expensive than a coin without the error.

Good Luck
