Question
I have a lot of silver coins, nickels, dimes, quarters, half and silver dollars they are all mostly of the early 1900s some maybe from late 1800s. I know nothing of what they are worth, can you tell me is there any of the above that are really wanted. Certain year mint etc. I also have two 2 dollar bills that weren't seperated at the mint, meaning they are both still together never cut. Are they worth anything? Thanks for your time!

Hi Rick,

Your best bet is to research yourself.  Look for a "Blue Book" for coins.  We have them at www.aucpro.com.  This will give you a the liquid values of all U.S. Coins.  You can also try your local book store or coin shop.  You might also find a Red Book, A Guide Book of U.S. Coins, but know that is a retail guide.  We buy and sell coins all day long.  You might try a local coin dealer.  Let me know if you have any specific questions.  The Two Dollar bills are worth double face value.  

Please remember to never clean coins, this can damage and lessen their value.  Also, soft plastics can contain harmful chemicals that can react with coins over time.  Try using inert materials when storing coins.  Plus, it is always a good idea to store coins in a safe.  The safe should not be exposed to the elements and should not be up against a wall to the outside.  These are just a few tips I have learned over the years to help keep your collection in top shape.
