YOU HAVE A 1777 2 REALES MINTED UNDER THE REIGN OF CHARLES III OF SPAIN. THAT IS WHAT THE "2" MEANS. iF THE "M" HAS A SMALL 'O' SITTING ON TOP OF IT THE COIN WAS MINTED IN MEXICO CITY. IF THE'M' HAS A SMALL CROWN SITTING ON TOP OF IT THE COIN WAS MINTED IN MADRID.THE 'R' STANDS FOR 'REALES' WHICH IS THE COIN'S DENOMINATION. THE TWO LETTERS 'PJ' STANDS FOR THE COIN'S ASSAYERS, I.E EACH MINT EMPLOYED ASSAYERS TO ENSURE EACH COIN WAS THE SIZE & WEIGHT IT SHOULD BE.
