Question
My dad wants to know if there is a 2008 "D" & "P" penny, and same for 2009 new four coming out. He said he has one that's plain (No D or T) IF correct is there a plain 2008? Please tell me what I put in on Google to fine this information. Thanks so much!

While all the other denomination coins have both "P" and "D" mintmarks, the "P" mintmarks were never added to the Lincoln cent (for whatever reason). Therefore, all Lincoln cents made at the main mint in Philadelphia have no mintmarks.
