Question
I have a 1975 lincoln penny with the liberty bell stamped on the left obverse and a picture of the U.S. A. stamped on the right obverse. I am curious as to the what where why and hows of it. Thank you kindly!

Answer

Bicentennial Stamped P
Jerry,

This is a novelty item, made by stamping those images on a normal penny after it left the mint.

I've seen these glued on to informational cards and sold like that for a couple dollars.

I hope this helps,

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
