Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Quarter

Question
Joe, I was reading your other messages online. Is a quarter with heads on both sides always a magic coin then? Ours has no dates on it. My son got one as change the other night when we went out to eat and he was so excited because he thought it was worth something.

Thanks--Janet

Answer
Janet,
Unfortunately, yes.  When a coin is struck, both side are struck simultaneously.  I have never heard of a 2 headed coin struck at the mint.  The fact that there is no date would mean that it was a statehood quarter, the date is on the state side.
