QUESTION: Can you recommend a reputable dealer in the Kansas City Metro area who would appraise and perhaps purchase my coins.  One I could trust!?

If not, how do I pick a trustworthy person?

ANSWER: Hi Kathy,
I can do even better.
If you send me a list with date, denomination, and a general idea of the condition, I will try to give you an UNSEEN estimate.  If you like what you hear, you send me the coins and I will make a firm offer.  I can only do this with US coins.
If I feel that the collection warrants, I will persoanlly come to view the collection.

Hi Kathy,
I don't know any dealers in your area.  The only thing I can suggest is to take the collection to more than one dealer.  Do a little research and find out how long they have been in business, check with the better business burea or consumer affairs to see if there are any complaints against them.
