Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1961 penny

Question
I have a 1961 D series penny with 3 0's stamped on the front, one above the word Liberty and 2 stacked above the 1961.  There is also an 8 stamped sideways on the back centered between the words one cent.  Is this some sort of mint error or something else?

Answer
Hello Shawn,

I FOUND THIS QUESTION IN THE UN-ANSWERED QUESTION POOL AT ALLEXPERTS.COM

I am not the person you sent this question to.
I can say this piece was not made at the US Mint with this defect.

And any coin having been altered is not considered collectable.

This date Lincoln would be less than a dollar in high grades and less than .15 cents in circulated grades.

I have seen One Cent pieces with symbols similar to what you describe but they are usually professionally produced for clubs and such. Not just scratched into a normal cent.

Good Luck
