Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Polished Coin

Question
Help! How can I remove the polish from a supposedly uncirculated "pristine" coin?

Answer
Hi Frank,
If you mean nail polish, you would need acetone.  Let the coin soak overnight to soften it up.  Any rubbing of the coin will damage it.  Maybe you can swirl the coin around but that is about all.
On the other hand, if you are referring to polish, such as silver polish, I have no solution for you.
Cleaning coins always devalues them, never rub a coin or use an abrasive.
