Question
I have silver troy ounces of silver the coins have no date and different designs liberty, Indian head morgan dollar designs and more.  These were all purchased in the late '80s are they worth more now than just silver pricing?  Thanks

Answer
Hello Thomas,

These are some of the countless silver rounds being produced.
What they are worth is the current price of one ounce of silver.
Millions were produced, they are made in rounds and rectangles (bars) then sold to the public at a premium over the spot market.

Some are made using coin designs and I have seen tractors presidents, company logos etc. They are categorized as Silver Art Bars (or rounds) and as I said trade at the current price of silver. Some rare metallic art sell at a higher value but most are produced in the millions.

Silver is trading much higher than in the 1980’s so you will see profit on them as bullion. See the web addresses below for trading prices.

You will only see higher prices for them if you actually find people that want them for the design or artwork on them. The retail may be double the bullion value and more if you have a complete set for one theme.

If there any more information you require on this question just ask.

Good Luck,
