Question
I have had two of these. In 1967 it was in an 1956 mint error book for over $300. However I lost it. I now have one that you can see that the one was twisted somehow when stamped leaving an impression where it was supposed to be. Have you seen this.I saw someones question and thought I would ad this. Thanks

Answer
Don,

Sorry but I seriously doubt it got twisted when it was stamped -- much more likely it happened at some time after it left the mint -- but first hand examination would be required to determine this.

I suggest you find a local coin show, take the coin, and have several dealers examine it first hand to get their opinions.

Try checking the following websites for listings of coin shows in your area :

Good luck!

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
