Question
I have a 1952 steel penny, but I cannot find any websites that give me any evidence that it even exists. Can you tell me the value of it? It is Circulated. Thank you
Tom Baker

Answer
Hi Tom,
Steel pennies were made for mass relaease in 1943 however a few were accidently produced in 1944.
Your 1952 cent would have to be authenticated.  First off, we would have to determine if it is infact, steel, and not merely plated.
Does it stick to a magnet?  If it does, there is at least some steel in it.  If it doesn't, I would guess it was plated with either mercury, zinc or possibly even lacquered a steel color.

Let me know more.
