Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1959doubled reverse

Question
Is a 1959 half dol that is doubled more valuable? And what is the double die reverse on the 1959 half dollar mean?

Answer
Hello Chris,

I found a description from another expert the difference is at the small eagle to the right of the Liberty Bell on the reverse.
There is a type 1 having a Low Relief Eagle and type 2 with a higher relief.
Not having seen examples of both I cannot describe it any better. Franklin Half dollars are not my specialty.
None are listed as more valuable than non-doubled coins in the same circulated grades.

I hope this information helps.

Good Luck,

PapaJack
