Question
Question 1-I recently acquired a 1786 Spanish 2 reals (two bits) coin in fair to good condition. What is the approximate value?
Question 2- It has a black patina (if that is the correct word). Can I use silver polish to clean it up without doing any harm?

Answer
Hi Rich,
First off, never clean a coin, especially with silver polish.  This ruins the value.
As for the value, they can range from $3 to about $10 in the condition you state.

I hope this helped you.
