Coin and Paper Money Collecting/strange coin

Question
I found a coin buried in the dirt the other day that is obviously very old.  Its fairly faded and is brown like copper but it does not feel like copper.  It says 10 cents on it and has a large single star on one side of it. It says what looks like NCO Club on the top of it and Patterson Field on the bottom, I could not find a date. I live in Ohio if that helps identify it at all.

Answer
It sounds more like a drink token or exchange token.  The reason I say that is NCO is probably "Non-Commisioned Officers" and isn't Patterson Field an airfield in Ohio?
Just a guess but if it were a legal tender coin, it would be dated and say UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
