Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1860 Russian coin

Question
I have a coin from 1860,(5 КОПЪЕКЪ) Russia. How much is it?

Answer
Hi Danyel,
There are a couple of different mint marks and varieties for the 1860 copper 5 kopecks. Below the date there will be either an EM or CPB (in Russian letters). The EM coins range from $10 to $100+ depending on condition. The CPB coins are a little less, from $5 to $60+ in the same conditions.
Now, if you have a CPB mint mark, also look at the crown above the eagle's head. If there are ribbons at either side of the crown, you have a more rare variety (of which only 20,000 coins were made). This one ranges from $20 to $150+.
If you have a picture of the coin and want me to grade it, just ask a follow-up and attach the photo.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
