Question
I have a dutch 1873 20 m coin with Karl von Wuerttemberg mintmark F  Deutsches Reich it apperars to be gold is it worth more in bullion or  for my collection
thanks

Answer
Hi Jee,
This is a German coin, rather than Dutch. Wurttemberg was one of the large German States, before the unification of the various states as the German Empire.
If your coin is well worn and lower grade, then it's only really worth bullion. However, an uncirculated coin is 2x-3x bullion value, depending if it's been professionally graded and with what MS grade. For a high grade circulated coin you can expect 25%-50% above bullion.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
