Question
I have a Bronze 1873 10 Centimes from   REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE and was hoping for any information on value or any other information you could help me with. thanks

Answer
Hi Alex,
Your French 10 centimes comes with two possible mint marks. This is located at the bottom of the coin, below the "10 centimes". In good shape, the 1873-A sells in the $5 to $10 range and the 1873-K for a little more, $8 to $15. There were over 2 million made with each mint mark.
A well circulated coin is worth a dollar or two, and a perfect uncirculated one is $30 to $50+.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
