QUESTION: Hello,
I have a 1988 one dollar bill, and I find out there is the small number 8 right next to the IN GOD WE TRUST, it is about a quarter inch away from the TRUST, and the size of the 8 is just like the year data on the front side, but it is green ink instead of the black ink, can you tell me what kind of the error like this, and what is the value for this one dollar bill.

It sounds like you have a "web note" -- an experimental note printed on a web fed press (like a newspaper) instead of the usual sheet fed intaglio press.

Is your note an 1988-A series?
