Question I would like to sell a Mint Silver Eagle Anniversary Set with the reverse proof. I recently sold my complete set of Silver Eagles but held on to this set, but now need the money. The set is intact in original box and sleeve. The coins have never been removed from the box or touched, etc. I have never had it professionally graded. I imagine I could do better selling it publicly instead of to a dealer but would appreciate your advice.
How much could I reasonably expect for it?

Assuming you are referring to the 2006 20th Anniversary 3-piece set (with unc, proof, and reverse proof silver eagles), these are listed in the current coin dealer newsletter at $255 -- which means the average dealer will give you about $230 for it.
Sale prices on eBay are not much higher, and with the fees they charge, and the extra work involved, you're probably just as well off selling to a dealer.
Try checking out the following websites for listings of coin shows in your area, where you can take the set and shop it around between the different dealers :
