Question
I have (2) 1974 pennies both have a little Kennedy Head stamped on them. One has it above the year and the other one has the Kennedy nose and Lincoln nose touching each other????? I have a 1988 penny that just has 88 stamped hard into penny?????  I have a 1975 penny with the liberty bell on the left and the map of the US on the right???? and last but not least I have a 1983 penny with the D stamped hard into it so that the circle shows???

Answer
Hi Charene,
You've got a small collection of privately counter-marked pennies. If you did a Google images search for "Kennedy penny" you will find a few more types similar to yours.
These are fun novelty items that collectors often pay about $1 for, not bad considering that's 100x the face value of the actual coin.
Thanks for the question and best of luck with your coins! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
