Question
Can you please tell me the value of a Lvitpold Prinz Regent V. Bayern Deutsches Reich 1911 Drei Mark?

Answer
Hi Jeanne,
This is a 3 mark commemorative coin from the German State of Bavaria. These is also a non-commemorative 3 mark for this year, which has about the same value as your coin.
In decent circulated condition they start at around $10-$15 and go up to $50-$60 in perfect shape.
There were 640,000 of these coins originally made in .900 silver.
Thanks for the question.! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
