Question
Thank you for your reply to my questions.  I will try to clarify for you...The coins are as follows:  {All George VI}(1) 1941,(1)1943, (3)1944, & (1) 1945 One Rupee Denomination.
Next: George VI 1947 One Rupee(with Lion on Reverse).  Geo. VI  1/2 Rupee (1) 1942, (1) 1945. Geo. VI 1/2 Rupee (3) 1946 and (3) 1947.
Next: 1/4 rupee   (1)1942, (3)1944, & (1)1945. Next: 1/4 rupee: (1) 1946 lion on reverse & (3) 1947 Lion on rev.
The scalloped coins are from 1957with a winged lion on the obverse and a 10 on the reverse. The smaller scalloped coins have the same design on the obverse and a 2 on the reverse with 1957 year.
The square shaped coins: Obverse-winged lion and reverse-5 and 1957. All are in very good condition.  Detail is well defined.

I am sorry I do not have scanning capabilities or I would send you pictures.  I hope this helps you in your research.  I mainly would like to know the composition of the coins.  Thank you again for the help.

Answer

one rupee george vi
The george vi rupee and 1/4 rupee quarter rupee coins are in half silver.
value of rupee from 1941-1945-> 150rupees(indian market value), 10$(catalog value)
(see attached pic)
1/2 rupee (1942,1945)-> 5$(catalog value)
1/4 rupee(1942,1944,1945)-> 2.5$
coins of 1946 and 1947 were made of nickel

1 rupee(1947)-> 50 rupees (indian market value), 5$(catalog value)
1/2 rupee(1946, 1947)->25 rupees (indian value), 2.5$(catalog value)
1/4 rupee(1946, 1947)->15 rupees;2.5$

i think these are the 2 paisa and 5 paisa coins u are talking about:
http://kulraj-the-numismatist.blogspot.com/2009/02/indian-two-paisa-three-paisa-...
2 paise->10 rupees, 0.4$
5 paise-> 10 rupees, 0.6$
10 paise coin:
http://kulraj-the-numismatist.blogspot.com/2009/02/indian-10-paise.html
value: 10 rupees, 0.5$

P.S. the symbol is not a winged lion; it is the four headed lion capital from the Ashoka pillar at Sarnath.

My assumptions:
1) your coins are in XF condition
2)they are authentic
3)u don't have the rare variety, but the common variety
