Question
how much is it worth a1799 silver dollar in mint cond.

Answer
Hi Angel,
If you are asking about a US silver dollar, there are several varieties for the 1799 date. Either way, a truly mint condition coin would be $20,000 and up to as high as $50,000 - if it is professionally graded and with what kind of grade.
The fact is that these are so rare in mint condition that most likely any coin you come across, unless it's been graded by one of the main companies (NGC, ANACS, PCGS), will be a modern replica.
If you ask a follow-up and include a photograph of the coin, I can confirm this for you.
I apologize that you had to wait so long for a response, the expert you originally posed this question to passed it along just today.
Thanks for the question and best of luck with your coin! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
