Question
Hi Joe,
I will ask this as specifically as I can.  WE have an 1880 Morgan Silver Dollar we would like to try to sell.  It does not have any mint letters on it.  What does this tell us?  The coin does have a little dent very nearly under the 0(1880)and first two stars otherwise she is beautiful and so is the Eagle.  Never been polished and pocket worn.
Thank you for your attention on the question.
Donna

Answer
Hi Donna,
1880 is a common date coin, they made 12,600,000 of them.
Even in mint condition, which your's may be except for the dent, they only sell for about $30.
That is unless they are in GEM condition which we already know yours is not.
Check on ebay for similar items and you will see that they sell for between $20 and $30 regularly.
