QUESTION: What is the value for a 1902 $5 bill from the Winona (MN) National Bank (Blue Seal). There is 3 perfect condition bills on one sheet and are uncut.

ANSWER: Hello Scott,

What are the numbers on the notes?

The National notes all have a number printed vertically on both sides of the portrait.

This will speed up the search.

I look forward to helping you with this. They could be valuable if they are genuine.

QUESTION: the numbers on the side of portrait is 3224

Answer
Hello again Scott,

Only after the grade is determined can you use a price guide, or can it be properly appraised.

But I can tell you main Grades are VERY-FINE, EXTRA-FINE and CRISP UNCIRCULATED.

The high end retail values listed for a series 1902 blue seal national Notes were $25 in grade VF, $45 in grade EF and $125 for a Crisp Un-circulated grade. This would be for each note alone. You should get more if they are certified and un-cut is worth more.

Sorry I could not be more help but I may be able to refer you to an authority near you. They would give you an opinion for free.

If you do want someone in your area to look at the note write me again with your postal Zip Code and a couple of the nearest large cities for your area. I can direct you to an AMERICAN NUMISMATIC ASSOCIATION MEMBER/DEALER near there. They are ethical and trustworthy.
