any U.S. coin you have.

Question Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to answer our questions. It is great to have access to someone willing to share their knowlege. When I was digging on one of my vacant lot I found a dime. At first it appeared to be a regular dime but after a closer look I realized it has a minting date of 1904 D. The coin is a Roosevelt dime...I didnt think Roosevelt dimes were minted until the 1940's. Can you tell me anything about this coin? Is it a misprint? Thanks again!
Answer Debra,
You need to have an expert look at that coin with a strong magnifier to determine its real date -- it's not possible to be a 1904. My bet is corrosion from being buried has altered the surface of the coin, making it look like 1904.
