Question
Will storing a slabbed coin in and air-tight ziploc sandwich bag for a long period (10 years) harm the coin? Thanks for your answer in advance.

for a long period, the humidity will have its effect on the coin. If its a copper coin, then copper would react and cuprous oxide deposits or color would be formed on the coin. If its silver, then silver would react with the sulphur in the plastic and black deposits of silver sulphide would form. It is advisable to store the coin in special non-sulphur covers available with coin dealers.
