Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Roosevelt dime

Question
I picked up a 1970-S Roosevelt dime out of circulation.  When I went to put it in my Whitman folder, I found they only have spaces for P & D coins. My coin appears to be a normal clad coin, and I have seen a listing of dimes on a web site which included 1968-S, 1969-S and 1970-S.  Why doesn't Whitman recognize them?

Answer
Hello Randy,

The Whitman Folder or Album you are using is meant for the circulated coins issued each year.

The US Coins minted in San Francisco with an S Mint Mark are Proof Coins.
Proof Coins were made for collectors not to be put into circulation and there are other folders that hold these special coins.

Good Luck,
