Good day.

This was a limited edition by the governmet of Iraq in observance of the 10th anniversary of the revolution and establishment of the Baath Party leadership on the 17th/30th of July 1968.

There is a Silver and Bronze issue of this same design.

They do not appear in any catalogs I know of.

Would you be interested in selling the coin you have?

I have a similar coin to this, and others, it was a gift when I worked in Iraq in the 1970s and it does date from 1978

This is commemorative coin not listed. It is made 1978.I think 100 were minted. There are 2 wight 15.6 grams and 31 grams in gold.I think price is $ 2000 and $ 4000.It is rare and by my opinion this is lowest price you should get for coin like this

I have seen your discussion about the coin, I have a silver Baath Party Commemorative Coin which was given to me in 1978. Do you think this is the same one you are talking about?
