Question
Wondering the value of an 1852 one penny Canadian bank token.  size is approximate. 2" diameter, one side shows a lady sitting and the other side shows a man standing.  Reads Quebec Bank Token one penny/ Province Du Canada Deux Sous.

Answer
Hi Erin, In 1852 the British government gave the Quebec Bank the right to issue copper 1/2 and 1 penny tokens due to a severe shortage of small change.
Collector value may be worth about $5 with heavy wear to around $20 with moderate wear to maybe $45 with light wear.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for a copy of Coins of Canada, Canadian Coins or the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
