QuestionI am interested in the value of this coin--Liberty head on front-American Eagle on back--If you flip coin eagle is upside down compared to Liberty--Is there any value on this coin? Your answer will be greataly appreciated
AnswerHi Harry, Collector value of a coin depends on date, mint mark (if any), number minted and condition of a coin, including amount of wear, any dents, scratches or cleaning as well as collector demand for it.
U.S. silver dollars weigh 26.73 grams and contain .7736 of an ounce of silver. The Morgan dollar (1878-1921), nicknamed after its designer, may have a mintmark letter below the eagle.

and ungraded coins:

Ungraded coins (raw) are worth less depending on amount of wear and collector demand.

U.S. coins are struck with 'coin rotation'. This means when looking at the face, if it is flipped over left to right, or right to left, the opposite side is upside down. If the other side is right side up then it is called 'medal rotation'. It is uncommon for coins of a single type to have both types of rotation but it is not a definite sign of a counterfeit or rare coin.
