Question
We have a 1922 Morgan silver dollar. Is it common for the coins to have "trust" spelt with a v instead of of a u? What is the value of this coin?
thanks you for your time.

Answer
Judy, the last year the morgan silver dollar was made was 1921.  It sounds like you have a 1922 "Peace" Dollar, where yes indeed, Trust was spelt "Trvst" in the Roman style.  The 1922 is one of the more common dates of the series and has a value of about $15 in essentially any condition (most of that in the silver content value) and up to about $100 or so in pristine uncirculated condition (very unlikely).  If you go to www.ebay.com and do a search for 1922 Peace Dollar, you'll see quite a few for sale, Jim Lawniczak
