Question
Hi there, I was going through an old sewing kit when I found a French coin.  It says Liberte Egalite Fraternite 10c mes dated 1925.  I have never seen one of these before, is it useful to anyone, is it worth anything please?

Answer
Hi Lindsey, There were 46.3 million of these copper-nickel French 10 centimes minted that year in Paris. This design was used 1917-39. Collector value may be worth about .10 with heavy wear to around .35 with moderate wear to maybe .75 with light wear to perhaps $2 if uncirculated (no wear).
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
