Question
Several years ago I found a small square currency that reads "Allierte Militarbehorde/in umlauf Gesetzt in Deutschland/serie 1944/Eine mark" It also has a 9 digit number on it and is in great condition. Is this worth anything? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Mindy, these 1 Mark notes were issued by the Allied occupation forces in Germany at the end of WWII.
Collector value may be worth about $5 with heavy wear to around $15 with moderate wear to maybe $25 with no wear (uncirculated).
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
